Et Buju Banton inaugura l’ère du politiquement correct

Le Jir, ce matin, nous refait le coup de la polémique autour d’un texte de rap, celui d’OrelSan, un artiste programmé au Sakifo accusé de sexisme sur la foi d’un vieux titre jamais publié. L’occasion de revenir sur la genèse de l’ère moderne du politiquement correct et la première levée de boucliers d’associations communautaristes contre une chanson, le Boom Bye Bye de Buju Banton en 1992, qui marqua un tournant. En France, à la fin de cette même année, Charles Pasqua tentera en vain d’interdire le Brigitte, Femme de Flic du Ministère Amer… La première polémique politique dans le hip hop français. Le texte ci-dessous a été rédigé pour l’exposition “Actuel – 50 chansons qui ont changé le monde” à Glazart, en 2004, je l’ai légèrement réactualisé.
